1. What is the difference between the Foogo Straw Bottle and the FUNtainer Straw Bottle?
The obvious is in the look. Foogo's come in either pink or blue with a stainless steel body. FUNtainers have the stainless steel body, but different fun prints kids like. The biggest difference is in the size of the bendable straw. In the Foogo, the silicone drinking straw is molded into the top of the bottle, forming a single piece, while on the FUNtainer, only the flexible tip is removeable. Other than that, Thermos has created two great straw bottles for kids!
2. What makes the Thermos straw bottle the best available?
Thermos didn't take an adult design and shrink it down for a child. Two years ago an entire new blueprint was created with children in mind, and Foogo is the end result. A Cornell University study found that Foogo was the best insulated bottle on the market. The FUNtainers have the same technology, just a different look.
3. Does the FUNtainer have the same qualities I have come to love in my other Thermos products?
Yes. We use TherMax double wall vacuum insulation technology for all our products. In addition to providing added protection from spoilage and food borne illnesses, Thermos products use all FDA approved, child friendly materials.
4. My child throws everything. Is this bottle going to survive?
The FUNtainer is a kid-proof design; unbreakable stainless steel interior and exterior withstands daily wear and tear.
4. Does the plastic contain Bisphenol-A?
No. All plastics used for FUNtainer are BPA free. The valve plate and lid are made from polypropylene (PP#5), and the vacuum-insulated stainless steel interior and exterior is non-reactive to all food and beverages.
5. What temperature beverages is it made for and how long will the temperature last?
The bottle is for cold drinks only, will stay cold for up to 6 hours, with no condensation on the exterior.
6. What is the straw itself made of?
The soft tip is made from silicone.
